UC Southwest Shuttle Lean Kaizen Project

As a solo Lean Kaizen project, I independently analyzed the shuttle delays on UC's Southwest route and applied Lean tools to streamline operations. By collecting field data and mapping the shuttle loop, I identified waste and proposed improvements to reduce student wait times.

  • Used Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and SIPOC to evaluate non-value-added steps
  • Redesigned schedule flow using Kanban to reduce idle shuttle time
  • Measured impact and presented improvement plan to transportation staff

Moorehead Dentistry Risk Assessment (ERM)

As part of a team project in Enterprise Risk Management, we analyzed strategic and operational risks at Moorehead Dentistry. I led the development of risk visuals and contributed to final strategy recommendations for the client.

  • Developed a risk register and heat map to evaluate impact vs. likelihood
  • Facilitated SWOT and PESTLE analysis to identify root causes of exposure
  • Contributed to opportunity matrix and mitigation strategy proposals

Access Database Automation – Cummins

While at Cummins, I created a Microsoft Access database system to consolidate and automate data from Oracle, Excel, and AS400. This dashboard supported real-time supply chain decisions and became a key tool used by managers across departments.

  • Centralized tracking of part status, supplier trends, backlog, and planner metrics
  • Built automated queries and forms to replace manual Excel reports
  • Reduced reporting time by over 50% and improved data visibility
